He was predeceased by : his wife Eileen; his parents, Charles Ridland and Monica Ridland; his sister Monica Blackman (Eric); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Johnson.

He is survived by : his children, Andrew Ridland (Alana), Catherine D'Angela (Chris) and Martin Ridland (Juanita); his grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua Ridland, Hailey, Allison, Connor D'Angela, Maya, Thea and Isla Ridland; and his close friends, Omer, Anne Gagne, Don, Margaret McKessock, Alex, Jessie MacKay and Wiebke Kumbhani (late Kish).
