He was predeceased by: his son Douglas; his grandson Sam O'Neil; his parents, Roy Cox and Aileen Cox; his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Delmar Steinman; his brothers, Peter and David Cox; his brother-in-law Bill Russell; and his son-in-law Ron Rivait.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Julie, Dave Dolbear, Cheryl Rivait, Trish and Ken O'Neil; his grandchildren, Jake (Yazmine), Rachel Dolbear, Olivia, Megan, Katie Rivait, Noah, Mya and Drew O'Neil; his siblings, Nancy, Tim Gray, Carol Russell, Jim and Marsha Cox; and his parents-in-law, Jan, Al Cadieux, Ron and Diane Steinman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
