He was predeceased by: his grandson Jarrod Werschler; his parents, John Slancek and Mary Slancek; and his father-in-law Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Leta; his daughters, Cathy Fielder (Brian), Bonnie Werschler (Ted Baldwin) and Pattie Fraser (Ron); his grandchildren, Ryan Werschler, Darren Fielder, Marcy Vanderveen (Dave) and Eli; and his sibling's children, Bob Sladovnik (Cheryl) and Carol Heinrich.
