She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Claxton; her parents, Robert Brand and Annie Brand; and her sister Laura Gillis. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Storozuk (John), Jack Claxton, Carol Claxton and Jay Claxton (Michelle); her grandchildren, Robert, Kevin Storozuk (Tamara), Chad (Shaunda), Clint Claxton (Jolene), Jordan, Jocelyn and Janessa Claxton; and her great grandchildren, Gavin, Garrett Storozuk, Ayden, Carly Claxton, Marcus and Nicole Claxton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer's Society.
