He was predeceased by: his son Bob Payie; his parents, Bob Payie and Pat Payie; and his sisters, Sharon, Marg and Connie.
He is survived by: his wife Betty (Chisholm); his son Andrew Payie (Chantelle); his grandchildren, Charley and Willem Payie; and his siblings, John, Heather, Lisa and B. C. Paul. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
