He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill and Irene; his brother Billy; and his brother-in-law Allen Andrew. He is survived by: his spouse Patti (Andrew); his children, Chris Ritchie of Sarnia and Jill Cook (Chris) of Forest; his siblings, David Ritchie (Georgina) of Corbeil, Kathy Ritchie (Angelo Rubino) of Welland and John Ritchie (Gail) of Welland; his grandchild Sophie Cook; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Andrew of Port Colborne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
