He was predeceased by : his wife Violet 'Vi Hughes; his parents, Leonora Hughes and Bertram Hughes; his siblings, Robert Hughes (Phyllis) and Sarah Hughes; and his brother-in-law Bert Payne.
He is survived by : his children, Pamela-Jean Bèlanger of Sauble Beach and Howard Vaughn Hughes of Toronto; his grandchildren, Jay (Alana), Mary (Gail), Amber and Bryan; his great grandchildren, Aphra, Meadow and Evan; and his sibling Blodwen Payne of England.
