He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Nelson; and his parents, Agnes Nelson and Edgar Nelson. He is survived by: his siblings, Evelyn Nelson Thompson and Len Nelson (Sylvie); his nieces and nephews, Beth, Nigel, Sarah, Daniel, John Thompson, Alexander and Erik Nelson; his cousins, Anne-Lii Kucher, Henry Maidra and Leif Maidra; Helmi Maidra.
