With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cynthia Jean Brideau (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Simpson and Verna Simpson; and her brother George Simpson (late Cathy). She is survived by: her husband Ron Brideau (René); her children, René Brideau (Alison), Nicole Rouse (Peter), Justin Brideau and Eric (Charlene); her grandchildren, Alexandra, René, Desireé, Dylan, Dakota, Olivia and Ettie; her great grandchildren, Madalyn, Cynthia, Theo, André, Hudson and Olive; her siblings, Deina Rouse (late Norman), Eliner Joseph (late Gerald), Jack Simpson (late Sharon) and Bob Simpson (Cathy); and her caregivers, Olivia, Jocelyn and Lily. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and over 200+ foster children, for over 40 years.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Bible Chapel (686 Black Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A0C8). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District Alzheimer's Society. Payable by cheque or online to the charity.
