He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lapish and Christine Lapish; and his brothers, Harry (Verna) and Jim (Shirley). He is survived by: his wife Anna; his children, Ed (Kaylee), Tina (Jamie) and Thomas (Christian); his grandchildren, Hunter (Chloe), Josh, Dakota (Paxton), Seth (Makayla), Teagan, Austin, Kayden, Jackson and Addison; and his close friend Roy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
