She was predeceased by: her sons, Andrew and Christopher McDonagh; her parents, Kathleen Syrette and Louis "Nuggs" Syrette; her siblings, Dianne Jones (Harry), Tim Syrette (Darlene), Edward Syrette, Mickey Syrette (Jay), Paul Syrette, Susie McCabe and Marcel Syrette; and her parents-in-law, Murray and Shirley McDonagh.
She is survived by: her daughter Erin McDonagh (Kevin); her grandchildren, Kathleen McDonagh-Forest (Derek), Mathieu McDonagh-Forest (Brianna), Andrew Miller (Jordyn-May) and Harland Fobister; her husband Tony McDonagh; her sisters, Charlotte Zack (Darren) and Colleen McCabe (Orville); her godsons, Scott McCabe, Sean and Jonathan Dolan; her sisters-in-law, Debbie Hocken (Tom) and Sharon Ayotte (Wes); and her nieces, Dee, Andrea, Alyssa and Nicole. She is also survived by Auntie to her many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thunderbird Room - Rankin Arena (17 Batchewana St, Batchewana First Nation, ON P6A0B7).
Her contributions to education and to the community will continue to have an impact for generations to come.
