She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald "Ron" Barrett; her parents, John Gawant and Mary Gawant; her in-laws, Ray and Lena Barrett; her grandparents, Anna and Fred Dowbenka; and her sister Audrey Gawant.

She is survived by: her children, Greg Barrett (Jackie) and Marla Barrett (Don Middleton); her grandchildren, Temeara, Gavan Barrett, Allan (Sydney) and Wylie Middleton; her close friend Cambrie Middleton; her great grandchildren, Hadley, Genevieve and Reece; her siblings, Janice Filice (Anthony) and Fred Gawant (Judy); her nieces and nephews, Sam, Katie (Frank), Toni (Matt), Eric (Sarah), Charissa (Jordan), Terry (Frances) and Judy (John); her siblings, Amelia and Gerry Deplonty; her family, Greg and Marla; and her close friend Adele Ogden of Mary's Ukrainian Church.
