Erna Coufal Obituary

The memory of Erna Coufal (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on July 19, 2025 at the age of 99, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Schopp and Leopoldine Schopp; her husband Erich Coufal; her siblings, Rudolph, Gustav, Adele and Ernst; and her siblings-in-law, Fred and Frances Roch.

She is survived by: her children, Herb Schopp (Irene), Frank Coufal (late Darlene) and Christine Fuerer (Volkmar); her grandchildren, Jeff Schopp (Patti), Karen Derasp (Mike), Michael Fuerer (Rachel), Thomas Coufal (Lanna), Lisa Fuller (Thomas) and Laurie Burrows (Rodney); and her brother Eric Schopp (Susie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers a donation to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
