Though Gerhard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerhard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Ilse; his children, Kirsten (Blake), Katia (Richard) and Annette; and his grandchildren, Kathryn (Taron), Anna, Maja, Madeleine and Tez.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Parkinson's Foundation, the SOS Children's Villages, or Zion Lutheran Church.
