With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John David McCaig (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on November 9, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander McCaig and Selina McCaig; his siblings, Henry McCaig (late Creda), Alfred McCaig (late Doreen) and Angela McKay (late Donald); his sisters-in-law, Gloria Trotter (late Morley) and Carol Cadham (Ron); Joyce Findlay (late Lorne), Gary Hodgkinson (late Colleen), Wanda Bier, Shirley Nevin and Blair Hodgkinson (Shari).
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Grasley; his children, Debbie Stewart (Randy), David McCaig (Enes) and Mike McCaig (Laura); his grandchildren, Angie, Joseph "Joe" Martone, Alisha McCaig-Theriault (Frank), David Jr. McCaig (Hannah) and Hannah McCaig; his siblings, Cleve McCaig and Raymond McCaig; his parents-in-law, Maynard and Marjorie Hodgkinson; his siblings' children, Jamie Wilcox (Brandy) and Ricky McCaig (Marisa); his great-niece Carolyn McKay; and his close friend Amanda Covert (Will). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
