He was predeceased by : his daughters, Cynthia and Christina Marie; his parents, Hugh McHardy and Peg McHardy; his brother Jim (Val); and his parent-in-law Quinto.

He is survived by : his wife Emma; his children, Shari-Ann (Shaun Raiman) and Patricia Jones (Dale MacArthur); his grandchildren, Terra, Kylie, Stephanie and Spencer; his sibling Duncan (Wynne); his parent-in-law Nicoletta DiLabio; and his siblings-in-law, Amedeo (Joanne), John (Suzanne) and Joe (Abby). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
