She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce McDermid; her parents, Emil Lepisto and Alma Lepisto; her siblings, Lauri Lepisto, Aune Kunto, Eino Lepisto and Neilo Lepisto; her parents-in-law, Norman and Mary McDermid; and her siblings-in-law, Max McDermid (late Mina) and Stella McGrath (late Gordon).

She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Lees; her son-in-law Ken Lees; and her granddaughter Heather Ray (Christian). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
