She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Margaret Armstrong Lane and Alvin Emerson Armstrong of Manitoulin Island; her former husbands, Clifford McKay and Anthony Pettalia; her child Wendall (Janet); and her brother Scott Armstrong (Barb).

She is survived by: her husband Tom LaCasse; her children, Katie Nantais (late Ron) and Danny McKay (Annette); her stepchildren, Jenny (Jesse) and Brandy Enns (Gord); her sisters-in-law, Louise Delvecchio (Kenny) and Brenda Trudeau (Terry); her sibling's children, Ginger Wood, Jodi Armstrong, Sherry, Glenn Macdonald, Lindsay Addison, Lori Mastellko, Eric, Molly Trudeau, John and Jodi Delvecchio; and her grandchildren, Colin Wallace, Sydney Nantais, Gracie, Julia, Mikayla McKay, Sophie McMillan, Ryan Littleton and River Daigle.
