We announce the death of Margaret Lynne McCarthy (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 82. Margaret will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Molly Symes and Bob Symes; her husband Lorne McCarthy; and her brother-in-law Roy Jr.. She is survived by: her brother James Symes; her children, Kevin (Joelle) and Shauna Van Boerdonk (Michael); her grandchildren, Tyler McCarthy, Sarah Van Boerdonk (Philipp) and Erik Van Boerdonk (Paige); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Grayson and McKenna; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Johnston (Allan), Janice Reid (Scott), Marlene Wood and Richard (Julie).
