She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward Swanson and Linnea Ingeborg "Leona"; her siblings, William Erik Swanson, Margaret Lillian Swanson, Marjory Susan Gorman, L'Heureux, James William Swanson and Robert George Swanson; her former spouse Seija Annikki; and her husband Edwin Catling.
She is survived by: her brother John Edward Swanson; and her children, Megan Patricia Ann Sherwood, Steven Robert Long, David William Arther Long, Christopher Albert James Burleigh, Sabrina Marie Burleigh, Anita Louise Lefebvre and Marilyn Ann Robinson. She is also survived by extended family — including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
