He was predeceased by : his nieces and nephews, Alyne Burke and Butch Rose. He is survived by : his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Michelle Burke of New Zealand, Nicole Burke (Stephen Cole) of Vancouver and Captain Heather Pay (Major Scott); his grandchildren, George and Lucy Pay; his brother Patrick Burke (late Cecile); his siblings-in-law, Harriet Rose (Ken), Debbie Corbett (late Gail) and Donald Corbett (late Jayne); his niece Bridget Burke (Randy Swanson); his nephew David Rose; and his great-niece Hope Swanson.
