She was predeceased by: her former husband Leonard Proulx; her husband Willis Kirkpatrick; her parents, Alexander Maxwell and Lavina Maxwell; and her siblings, Joe Maxwell, Retta Roy and Fred Maxwell.

She is survived by: her children, Brien Proulx (Noreen), Laura Ryan (late Michael), Donna Vinette, Doug Proulx (Heather) and Paulette Guzzo (Walter); and her sister Margarette Beilhartz.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church (114 MacDonald Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B1H3). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (27 Fourth Line E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K8).

Those wishing to honor her memory may make donations to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church or St. Vincent Place.
