He was predeceased by: his son Patrick McCarthy; his parents, Robert Murray McCarthy Sr. and Flora Isabel McCarthy-Howell; and his sibling Carol-Joy Scali (Bobby). He is survived by: his daughter Christina Brulotte (Deny); his siblings, Rusty McCarthy (Maja Bannerman) and Patricia McCarthy; his nieces and nephews, Sarah Thompson, Ron Kelly Jr. (Amanda), Abbey Scali (Lloyd) and Ryan Wanner; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jade Kelly, Jaxon Kelly and Jayson Scali; and his uncle Duncan Howell of Ottawa.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 2L9). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
