He was predeceased by: his spouse Merla Jeanne MacDougall; his son John MacDougall; his grandfathers, Mihkel, Lucas and Lilyanna; his parents, Stuart MacDougall and Leona MacDougall; and his brothers, Stuart (late Jean) and Doug (Ann Corris).

He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Albo (Aldo) and Laura Jeanne MacDougall; his granddaughters, Melanie Bykkonen (Kevin) and Amanda Albo (Mark); and his brother Ken. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
