He was predeceased by: his parents, Garry Lidstone and Gail Lidstone; and his brother Michael (Theresa). He is survived by: his wife Linda Lidstone; his children, Russell and Ryan (Jessica); his grandchildren, Madison, Brayden and Claire; and his siblings, Linda (Donnie) and Darren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Sault Area Hospital – Cancer Clinic can be made in his honour.
