The memory of Walter Hapanovich (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on December 8, 2025, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, George (James) and Jenny; his siblings, Eddie (Joan) and Olga (Ormen); and his parents-in-law, Audrey and Oscar Ramsey.
He is survived by: his wife Dale; his children, Jenn (Matt) and Paul (Lisa); his grandchildren, Michael and Sarah; and his close friend Diane Stuckey. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K7). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Jerome's Church (26 Carmel Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A3N9).
Memorial donations to Sault Area Hospital Foundation or ARCH would be greatly appreciated by the family.
