He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Gilroy; and his parents, Jean Gilroy and Donald Gilroy. He is survived by: his children, Gerry (Anita), Monique (Dan) and Jackie (Zaf); his grandchildren, Chad, Holly, Natasha (Dan), Leeza, Ryan, Raymond (Tiffany), Devon, Kendrah and Kiara; and his great grandchildren, Colt, Alexa, Bailey and Owen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be appreciated by the family.
