He was predeceased by: his brothers, Tameo and Kenjiro (Fumiko). He is survived by: his sister-in-law Fumiko Kanbara; his niece Nancy Nakanishi (Joji); his great-niece Midori (David); his niece Carlene Mercer (Bill); his nephew Bryce Kanbara (Lisa Dale); and also Miyoko.
