We are sad to announce that, on March 26, 2020, at the age of 70, Alan Washbrook (Scarborough, Ontario), born in Windsor, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Washbrook and Marguerite Washbrook. He is survived by: his significant other Denis Granger; his brother Jim (Janine); his niece Jenna (Mike); his nephew Jeff (Courtney); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, MaKenna, Bennett, Cooper and Brody.

“Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Alan. Despite the fact that we all knew he wasn't in the best of health, the suddenness of his having to go into the hospital came as a shock and then to be followed by the sad news so soon after he went to Westpark – unbelievable. We worked together at Leacock and Stage Centre. And we were friends. I'll miss his smile, his lovely voice, his love of life. And he made a great gazpacho for pot-luck parties. “I had mr washbrook as my grade 10 accounting teacher. I did well at accounting and was often bored in class. One day he asked me if there was anything extra i wanted to do. "can you teach us how to embezzle, like on they do on tv shows, with mafia?" no reaction. I thought i was done for. He quietly told me, "the teacher gets 10% of the gross," and a big smile spread across his face. Since then, i'd see him every now and then, out and about, the last time was last summer. We had a good chat. Rip”
