It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christine Joy Sutherland (Scarborough, Ontario), who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Sutherland and Joy Sutherland. She is survived by : her husband John Wakely; her stepsons, Jay Wakely (Irina) and Matthew Wakely (Michelle); her grandchildren, Ben, Victoria and Gabe; her siblings, Susan Willingham (Dwain), Cathy Belanger (Johnny), Gord Sutherland (Leslie) and Peggy Bourne (Wayne); and her sister-in-law Dorothy MacLean (Richard). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation be made to Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society in Chris' honour.
