He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Finlay and Jesse Taylor. He is survived by: his brother John (Dale); his nephews, John Jr. (Linda) and Paul (Caroline); his niece Jennifer; and his great-nephews, Christopher Jr., Matthew, Justin and Tyler.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Presentation Manor Residence (61 Fairfax Crescent, Scarborough, ON M1L1Z7). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Presentation Manor.
