He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Mowatt and James Mowatt of Toronto, Ontario.. He is survived by: his wife Lillian; his children, Kim Mowatt (Robert), Karey Dhirani (Chris) and Geoff Mowatt (Keri); and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Charlie, Nathaniel and Zachary.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations towards the preservation and restoration of wetlands through Ducks Unlimited Canada.
