Elizabeth Laurie Obituary

In loving memory of Elizabeth Laurie of Scarborough, Ontario, who departed this world on January 9, 2026 at the age of 88. Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As we bid Elizabeth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Elizabeth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Maxwell Laurie; her parents, Robert and Elizabeth; and her sister Roberta (Robert). She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Laurie, James Laurie and Diane Laurie; and her grandchildren, Shalon McNamara (Robert McNamara) and Stuart Ainsworth (Shaady). She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in her honor.
