She was predeceased by: her sibling Reginald Thompson (Lorraine) of Brampton. She is survived by: her husband Carmo; her children, Mary Fernandes of Scarborough, Joseph Fernandes (Sylvie) of Hastings and Lloyd Fernandes (Leeanne Hughes-Fernandes) of Markham; her grandchildren, Robert, Alexander, Sydney and Evan; her siblings, William Thompson (Patricia) of Scarborough, Duncan Thompson (Edith) of Dundas and David Thompson of Kingston; and also Tony.

In lieu of flowers a contribution by cheque or credit card may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
