“Mike my best friend from high school, Northern Secondary. We both played saxophone in the stage band, clarinet in the concert band, and our friends,Jim Doris (trombone) and Todd Martin (sax) Mike Upshall (sax) played in a band we formed. We had a fantastic time playing at the school and around the north Toronto area! Because of Mike, I got over my shyness, he made me feel at ease immediately and he was always upbeat and loved to laugh. We will miss him a lot. I wish we had gotten together more.”
