He was predeceased by: his sister Joyce Kleinfelder; and his brother-in-law Jeff Bain (Sue). He is survived by: his wife Judy (Bain) of Scarborough; his children, Mark (Nivasha) of Ajax, Brad of Brampton, Ryan (Nicole) of Scarborough and Trina of London; his grandchildren, Hailey, Matthieu and Olivia; his sibling Bev Hinton (late Jack); and his sister-in-law Joy Moreau (Neil) of North Bay.
