Sumiko Nakanishi Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sumiko Nakanishi of Scarborough, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 13, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Sumiko departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Sumiko may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Sumiko leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kaneichiro Nakanishi and Yoshie Nakanishi; and her siblings, Yoko Samboro, Kenji Nakanishi (Ken), Joji Nakanishi (Joe) and Katsuji Nakanishi.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mitzie Yoshida (Ben), Nobby Nakanishi (Sakae) and Aiko Taba.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Highland Funeral Home (3280 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1T3K3).
