He was predeceased by: his father Robert Hirst; and his sister Roberta Naglik (Norm). He is survived by: his wife Hem Prabha; his children, Kimberley Cook (Dan) and Timothy; his granddaughters, Alexandra and Quinn; his mother Stella Pearl Hirst; his sisters, Lesley Sheppard (late Gideon), Patricia Hirst (Don) and Mary MacIntyre (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Gyan Setu (late Amichand) and Sneh Singh (Diwan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and aunts and cousins.
