We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2025, at the age of 91, Velma Gladys Whittle of Scarborough, Ontario, born in Toronto, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Whittle; her siblings, Nelson Durie and Evelyn Merritt; and her niece Jeanette McLean. She is survived by: her daughter Holly Whittle; her son-in-law William Gonidis; her grandchildren, Kiron, Morgan and Moriah; her great grandchildren, Auryn, Theo and Luna; her great-niece Jessica; and her great-nephew Jay. She is also survived by many extended family members and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel (3280 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1T3K3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (33 Memory Gardens Ln, North York, ON M2H3K4).
