“My heartfelt condolences on the loss of dear Walter. Walter was so supportive of the arts, of numerous opera projects and to many opera singers, me included! In our last correspondence Walter told me he wasn’t well but we both expressed the hope that we could meet for lunch once again if he felt better. Walter even sent me to his car mechanic, now that’s generosity!:-) He was a dear man, I will never forget his kindness, I’ll miss his gentle guidance and friendship. Walter made a difference!”
