She was predeceased by: her pet Esme; and her grandfathers, Jack Bence and Gary Whittaker. She is survived by: her husband Michael; her parents, Shawn Bence and Diane Bence; her sisters, Shannon Roberts (Warren) of Vancouver Island and Alannah Bence; her nephew Raylen; her nieces, Riley and Madeline; her grandmothers, Paula Bence and Elaine Whittaker; her mother-in-law Iris Anderson; her friend Lindsay; and her pets, Rory, Liam and Fintan. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law; and their children.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Windsor Chapel South Chapel (3048 Dougall Ave, Windsor, ON N9E1S4).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tannis' name to Detroit Pit Crew Dog Rescue and Stand Up for Pits Foundation.
