He was predeceased by: his parents, Bud Deering and Mary Deering; his brother Paul Deering; and his mother-in-law Hilda Humeniuk. He is survived by: his wife Paula Deering (Savory); his children, Andrea Deering Nagy, Tom Nagy, Kathleen Deering, Susanna Deering and Sébastien Fox; his grandchildren, Phoenix, Larkyn, Gryphon, Gavin, Sebastian, Ty, Brady and Coen; his siblings, Mike, Agnes Deering and Matt Deering; and his siblings-in-law, Gwynne Cafik and Dawn Lefakis.

In lieu of flowers, donations to West Perth Village in Dave's memory would be appreciated by the family.
