He was predeceased by: his brother Larry Nicholson; his siblings-in-law, Barry of Boer and Lori of Boer; his parents, Chester Nicholson and Verna Nicholson (MacDonald); and his parents-in-law, John and Jetske (Lantinga) of Boer.
He is survived by: his wife Irene; his children, Erin Nicholson, Ryan Nicholson, Karen, Craig and Kelly Nicholson; his grandson Dawson; his siblings, Donna (Tony Johnstone), Tom (Kathy Nicholson), Lorraine (Jim Clark), Rae (Cathy Nicholson), Mary Ann (Jay Passmore) and Alan Nicholson; his siblings-in-law, Jim, Judi of Boer, Cecil of Boer, Don, Sheri of Boer and Ed of Boer; and his extended family, Trenna, Chris and Justin. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's memory to the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or the First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth would be appreciated by the family.
