He was predeceased by: his son Jimmy; his parents, William Smith and Maude Smith; and his brother Tom. He is survived by: his children, April (Chris), Aaron (Jen), Nathan and Rachel; his grandchildren, Jakob, Olivia, Gabriel, Summer, Tyson and Sophie; and his siblings, Douglas Smith, Marilyn Jackson and Susan Mavity. He is also survived by many brother and sister in-laws, nephews and nieces.
