He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Rietra-Boonen and Gertrude Rietra-Boonen; and his siblings, Gerda Corsten-Boonen (Jo) and Harrie Boonen-Frenchken (Corrie). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Boonen (Berendsen); his daughters, Trudy (Kirk) of Oshawa and Cathy (Jim) of Paris; his grandchildren, Justin (Jill), Matthew (Sarah) and Samantha (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Atlas, Lila, Charlotte and Ivy; and his sibling Toos Koppen-Boonen (Thieu). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
