He is survived by : his wife Janice Beattie; his stepdaughter Jodie Alderman (Steve); his children, Skylen and Marlee; his siblings, Greg Henderson (Wendy) and Rebecca Osborne (Kent); his father-in-law David Bittorf (Shirley); his siblings-in-law, Karolyn King (James) and John Bittorf (Tessa); and also Gill Hendrich.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or the MS Society.
