He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Farnell and Ileen Farnell; and his sisters, Beth (Alf) and Ruth (Malcolm). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his daughter Julie Hofstede (Chris); his grandchildren, Jaden, Alia, Jorja, Gavin, Holly, Evan and Sienna; and his brothers, Norman (late Alice), Lawrie (Diane) and Mel (Jan). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
