She was predeceased by: her husband Ted Van Kessel; her parents, Nathaniel Walker and Harriet Walker; and her siblings, Murray (May), Ronald (Ruth), Richard and Winnifred.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Marion) of Simcoe, John (late Shirley) of Simcoe, Mark (Linda Mansell) of Simcoe, Susan Vroom (Mike) of Simcoe and Lisa of Simcoe; her grandchildren, John Jr. (Megan), David, Amy Scime (Logan), Paige Poirier (Todd), Krystal (Trevor Kozack), Kody Vroom (Shay Crandall), Kevin (Tegan Meulemeester) and Katelyn; and her great grandchildren, Jace, Nate, Brysen, Olivia, Owen, Sawyer, Andi, Mira and Carter.
