He was predeceased by: his sister Jean Ryan (late Tom); and his brother-in-law John Collver (Marie). He is survived by: his wife Janet Smith; his children, Carmen Locke (Chris) and Martin Smith; his grandchildren, Grace and Brady; his nephew Max Ryan (Natalie); his niece Kim Rutledge; his great-niece Haley; his sister Linda Ryder (Sam); his siblings-in-law, Joan Davis (Mike), Howard Collver (late Brenda), Alan Collver (Rita) and Lloyd Collver (Sue); Alexis French (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, February 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jason Smith Funeral Chapel (689 Norfolk St N, Simcoe, ON N3Y3R3). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
