He is survived by: his spouse Marg Tanchak; his children, Tara Tanchak (late Ben Stewart), Melanie Samborski (Jeff) and Brian Tanchak (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Kaitlynn, Peyton, Harley, Jax and Ryker; his sister Ruth Smith (Lyle); his mother-in-law Irma Grau (late Otto); and his sister-in-law Gisela Charette. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.

For those who wish, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or St. Joe's Hospital in Hamilton would be appreciated.
